Hi! I'm a cat-mom living in Louisiana who loves reading, running, gardening/sustainability, downtempo, creative writing, history, estate sales, cemeteries, and horror movies. I also enjoy learning about and practicing traditional witchcraft.

I collect used vintage postcards from the early 1900s-1940s, and enjoy researching the addresses and learning about the correspondents.

If I've sent you something and it doesn't arrive within a reasonable time, send me a message so I can send a replacement!

Favorite Crafts

I like knitting, especially small projects like cozies and socks. I once knitted a shrug that I couldn't fit over my head.

I am a novice book binder and inconsistent journaler (trying to get better about that). Interested in analog, particularly photography.

In the mail ...

Right now, I'm really into food packaging postcards. It's interesting to see how marketing differs in other countries and regions. I also enjoy upcycling, so please do not hesitate to make cards or swaps out of whatever you have!

Comment: Thank you for the neat image of buildings. Cal State Fullerton was my back up choice but I ended up at Humboldt which was my 1st choice. So many of my high school peers went to Fullerton. I wonder if we have any friends in common from your time there.

Comment: Hi Jennifer! Thanks for the lemony Chunk, it does look refreshing. A very cute older Fisher Price doll house is one of the neatest things I've found in a thrift store. Also lots of furniture and people for it. My nieces and even a couple of nephews had hours of fun with it. Lots of books & magazines too. Have a great summer & keep cool. Judy

Comment: I admit, I used to pen pal more often, like 3-5 letters a day, but I work now and time is sparse to sit down and relax--which is what I NEED to write. Your letter was a joy to read and flowed so nicely. I also collect antique furniture. Would prefer an antique then new furniture. I wonder what happened in daily lives in front of it. I know it may seem odd, but that is what I do. I also collect very old bibles from the 1600's to the early 1900's. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas. I just may surprise you with a letter in return.
Response: I completely understand about finding time. Work especially gets in the way of a lot of things! :) No pressure to send a letter, but if you do, I'd love to hear about your collection!
