This swap is for my fellow "preparers," to share a photo of what you consider your EDC. Scroll down to the very bottom for TL;DR short version.

For those who don't know,

Everyday carry (EDC) or every-day carry is a collection of useful items that are consistently carried on person every day. The main reasons for having EDC are utility (usefulness), self-sufficiency, and preparedness: to help individuals improve simple everyday problem solving, from the mundane (opening packages, minor repairs) to possible emergency situations such as first aid or self-defense.

Some of the most common EDC items are watches, pens, wallets, knives, firearms, flashlights, lighters, car and home key rings, mobile phones, multi-tools, tissues, medications, and personal care items.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS SWAP

Send your partner, via email, one or more images of the items you consider your EDC. YOU DO NOT NEED TO CARRY A WEAPON TO PARTICIPATE. This is explicitly for the items you find essential and carry daily -- be it in a bag, in your pockets, or on your belt.

In addition to the photo(s), please include:

• a list of each item pictured

• optional an explanation for item(s)

• your location (minimum: city, country)

• whether you live somewhere rural, suburban, urban, small town, etc.

• optional a photo of your bag

You can be as concise as you want or really nerd out. It's up to you.

Rules:

• email only, no messages -- messages put an unnecessary burden on your partner to host the image and link you to it

• international, because email so why not?

• newbies and unrateds welcome, I'll angel no problem. Just communicate and let me know. People who need a second chance allowed with no outstanding fixable swaps.

• again, send one or more photos of your EDC and answer the list items above. Via email. Answer everything unless it says it's optional. That's the swap.

Make sure to include your username and swap name somewhere in the email for easy rating.

Rate a 5 if your partner meets all requirements above. Give them a chance to fix it if they don't. Allow for resends. And message me for an angel if you are not happy with how that turns out. Otherwise, rate appropriately.

TL;DR: if you still aren't getting it, it's the crap you carry in your purse or backpack, pockets, etc. Take a picture of it. There's questions to answer that are in the requirements section so don't miss those.
