Description:

Dear AAA swappers, after a short conversation with one of the founders I want to try to establish a series for all of us to enjoy, and challenge ourselves. I hope that some of you are interested in it and will find joy in creating wonderful ATCs for this swap & series!

Send one ATC inspired by this swap’s style to one partner.

📬 International

In this series we’re exploring a new art style / movement in each swap.

🖌️ Please create one ATC for your partner in this swap’s style - or inspired by it. The medium and interpretation are sender’s choice. Sticker slapping or simply a print of that art style and nothing else is not enough. If it fits the style, shaping your ATC is welcomed (e.g. an arch for Art Nouveau).

🖌️ Please use a sturdy backing and write at least the swap name, your name/username, and the date on the back of the standard-sized (2.5 in x 3.5 in) ATC.

❤️ As the saying on swap-bot goes; please create something you would be happy to receive.

This swap’s theme is:

Art Nouveau

Art Nouveau is an art and design movement from the late 19th to early 20th century known for its flowing, organic lines and nature-inspired motifs. Think vines, flowers, and elegant curves everywhere—from architecture to jewellery.

In painting, Art Nouveau is characterized by:

  • Decorative style with detailed, graceful lines

  • Flat, stylized figures, often women with long hair and flowing clothes

  • Soft, muted colours and symmetrical compositions

  • A strong focus on aesthetic beauty over realism

Artists like Alphonse Mucha made iconic posters and illustrations that basically define the look. It’s art that feels dreamy, elegant, and very ornamental.
